Based in the South West, Kevin and Paradigm Photography’s ongoing mission is to produce images which will have impact in todays visual world. Having grown up in the United Kingdom I first got involved in photography through my time in the armed forces. This led to my first 35mm SLR and eventually to my own darkroom (for darkroom read my bathroom).
Most of my work at that time was black and white, and at high ISO speed, it was rather raw and with eclectic subject matter.
This period was followed by a break until eventually I returned to photography after being given a digital SLR as a present (No more bathroom conversions for me).
The best advice I have ever received? “it's not the camera or the equipment that matters but the eye looking through it” and I have tried to faithfully follow that advice. I think that my images are not necessarily meant to be true representations of a place or subject but have a wider interpretation.
When not working on behalf of a client I can be found wandering around the local area taking photographs and looking at things from strange angles.
